The Art Hour is committed to protecting your privacy when you visit our website (thearthour.org) and our social media properties, including all data, information and compilations on any of the foregoing (collectively referred to as "TAH” website) and to disclosing to you how the information you provide when using this website will be used. By accessing the TAH website or engaging in any transaction on the TAH website, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy without limitation or qualification. If you do not wish to be bound by this Privacy Policy, do not access the TAH website and do not submit any information to TAH website. There is a link to this policy in the footer on every page of TAH website. This site is provided by The Art Hour, a non-profit organization based in Greater Los Angeles, California. 

This Privacy Policy applies to the personal data provided to TAH when you browse this website, register for a class, or otherwise provide us with information via the TAH. It also applies to personal data you may provide to The Art Hour via telephone, email, social media, texting or in response to personal solicitations.

The Art Hour does not solicit or knowingly collect personal information from children 16 years of age and younger. Visitors 16 years of age and under are required to obtain an adult’s permission before accessing or using the TAH website. In regards to minors, we understand that our programs are specifically designed for students under the age of 18,  therefore, when a minor signs up for a class, and upon filling out the consent, it is presumed the registration has been approved by the minor's parents or guardian. We encourage parents and legal guardians to review our website and learn more about our programs. Minors are unable to sign up for a class, contact our team, or otherwise provide any personally identifiable information without consent from a parent or legal guardian. We recommend that parents approve and closely supervise the activity of their children at this and all other online sites and discuss with their children restrictions regarding the online release of personal information to anyone they don't know. 

Information The Art Hour Collects 

The Art Hour collects information in several ways from different parts of this site. If you contact The Art Hour in any of the ways listed below, The Art Hour may keep a record of that session or correspondence, including a record of your email address. The Art Hour collects any information that you provide in such circumstances, including any personal information.

  • Registering for a class through https://www.signupgenius.com: Our programs depend on students registering for classes. We have made the decision to utilize SignUpGenius’s program to make registration more efficient and convenient. Here, you will be asked to provide your name and email address. 

  • Contacting us through the form located on our home page: We embedded this function to quicken communication between parents/students and our team. Here, you will be asked to provide your name and email address. 

  • Contacting our direct email and/or phone number: We have also included our email address and phone number at the footer of the website. If you do pursue to use this method of communication, we may keep records of your correspondence, including a record of your email address. 

Our website includes links to websites operated by third parties over which we have no control. Once you leave the TAH website, this Privacy Policy will not apply, and you access such sites at your own risk.

Information We Receive Automatically When You Use Our Services: The Art Hour may collect information regarding website activity, number of visits, pages visited, average time spent on this site, and similar metrics through Squarespace analytics. Furthermore, The Art Hour may collect information regarding social media activity, number of visits, post visits and likes, and similar metrics through Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter analytics. 

How The Art Hour Uses the Information It Collects

The Art Hour uses the information it collects through its services to improve marketing and promotional efforts, to improve our programs, and to customize this site’s service and content. The Art Hour may also use the information it collects through this site to inform you of new services, changes, or promotions. More specifically, a majority of this information is collected to send students and/or parents information regarding the classes they are registered for (ie. Zoom link, additional materials). The Art Hour may also share this information with our instructors to better prepare themselves for the expected audience and also adjust content provided. Other than that, The Art Hour does not share this information with other parties.

Please note that TAH may revise its Privacy Policy at any time, without notice, such changes to be effective immediately upon posting on the TAH website. Such revisions may arise in response to changes in the law, policy, or other factors. We encourage you to periodically visit this page to review our most current policy.
